Bauhaus Dessau Building

Gropius’s Bauhaus school and workshop complex, clearly separating functions behind a glass curtain wall.

Teaching, workshop, and residential wings are distinct masses connected by a bridge.

The building became the physical symbol of a modern design school.

It demonstrates twentieth-century design education through architecture itself.
