Louvre Abu Dhabi

A museum city beneath a vast sea-borne dome that produces a patterned rain of light.

The dome simultaneously creates shade, a microclimate, and a civic symbol.

Museum buildings are arranged beneath it like narrow urban streets.

It is one of Nouvel’s major works of cultural infrastructure.
