Pantheon
Rome’s concrete-domed temple, rebuilt under Hadrian, is famous for its circular hall and the beam of light from its oculus.
Its thick walls and coffered dome make it a key surviving lesson in ancient dome construction.
The unified circular interior became a model for later domes and rotundas.
Its conversion from temple to church helped preserve it for present-day visitors.
