Structure & envelope

Glass fins & all-glass facade

Glass fins or point fixings let glass itself resist lateral loads, minimizing conventional mullions.

Glass bending, buckling, edge strength, and hardware become structural calculations. This is structural glass, not ordinary glazing.

It is used in transparent stores and museum lobbies, with thermal breakage, impact, maintenance, and replacement treated as design conditions.

Site tolerances are tight because field cutting is rarely possible. Factory dimensions effectively become the design.

Fire, egress, and safety-glazing rules come before visual purity. Specifications must define failure behavior.
